I don’t know much about Zohran Mamdani, next mayor of NYC, but I know more than enough about the man he beat, the politically boring sexual preditor Andrew Cuomo. AOC endorsed Mamdani, which makes me think he’s worth optimism, and he’d have to make serious effort to be anything but an improvement over the city’s current criminal mayor, Eric Adams.

Not a competent brain in the bunch. But no worries, this guy will keep us safe from the terrorism America deserves.

This is so ass-backwards. Graffiti is beautiful and the city needs more of it. The easiest way to discourage graffiti on private property is to welcome and encourage art on public and abandoned property. We have many graffiti artists working without pay, even providing their own paints. Let ’em have the city as a canvas — sidewalks and bridge supports, public buildings and parks and the Mayor’s shoes.

We could make Seattle a beautiful, colorful, wide-open City of Art, for a fraction of the money wasted trying to punish artists.
