This is so obvious I hesitate to even type it, but changing license plates daily is illegal, and not something done by legitimate law enforcement.

    If Democrats were an actuall opposition party, not collaborators, they’d be flooding the zone with ads and imagery of the destruction of the east wing of the White House. Its Trump’s destruction of America, visualized so plain anyone can see and understand, even people who don’t already hate Trump are angry, but from the Democrats, crickets.

      The Democrats are not the good guys. Best I can say for them is that they’re neutral, don’t give a damn. Which makes them better than the bad guys, I guess, but not worth voting for.

        Dante has a line in the Inferno that describes this perfectly:

        “Odious both to God and to His enemies.”

        It was his description for the “neutral angels,” who were resigned to an area just outside the outer circles of Hell because they refused to take sides during Satan’s rebellion.

        That’s a lot of God Talk and I think I might be losing Doug here, but the Inferno is not a theological text, it’s a reference to the politics of his own day. The angels mix among the “uncommitted,” those who never took a side on anything in life because they were were too concerned with their own well-being to ever stand for anything.

          Anyone’s entitled to take no position on Dick York or Dick Sargent, or income taxes, or whether the border to Canada should be open or passport-required, but anyone who’s neutral on fascism is either a fascist or utterly uninformed. Some in my family are both.

          You’ve read Dante’s Inferno? I got about fifty pages into it, but couldn’t get into it, y’know? I did read and *loved* the modern sci-fi spin on Inferno, by Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle. Funny and profound, as I recall, but it’s been decades. I ought to re-read it…
