   I do think that Rank Choice Voting is a key to get out of this. I don’t know if it will happen or if it will happen in time but it’s a path.
   What we have with the gerrymandering is the candidates that fit the party line making it out of the primarys, leaving many voters apathetic about their votes as they feel the outcome is predetermined and really doesn’t matter. The end result is the elected officials feel obligated to their base and don’t dare step out of line.
   I’m writing this and thinking, maybe it is too late. For folks to conciously vote in a party that they KNOW will do what this president and this party will do, sinks my feeling of hope.
   At the end of the day, Trump 2.0 won by a lesser poplular margin than Hilary lost by in 2016. That’s what I’m clinging to. Rank choice, give folks a sense that what they’re voting for matters, increase engagement.
   I for one see the over reaches that this administration is conducting and I’m feeling my duty. This country was hard fought and hard won, it’s time to put the work into saving it from these bastards or die trying.

      Well, condoned or endorsed, it’ll happen when people get angry. When it does, Trump’s goons will squash what’s left of the so-called American spirit, and we’l;l have reached the end point.

      Ranked-choice is a fine idea. Seattle adopted it a while back, with the caveat that it won’t take effect for several more years of stupidity.

      But mostly, I think elections are over. If they’re allowed, they’ll be shams.

   This is the exact path for a totalitarian dictatorship. And if history is any indication, Democrats will probably just file a complaint when democracy ends in USA.
