The article at that link is two reporters at USA Today comparing the Signal scandal to butt-texting — “We’ve all done this.” That’s the headline, and the entire gist of the piece. It’s not even an op-ed — it’s ‘news’ or ‘news analysis’ or something.
I don’t expect much from corporate media, but that article’s authors, Jessica Guynn and Bailey Schulz, and any editors involved in green-lighting and prepping that piece, would be unemployable in any sane, responsible newsroom.
