Donald Trump says he won’t debate trans bathroom use affecting ‘very small number of people’

Well, that’s nice, but Donald Trump says a lot of things, almost all of which are bullshit. What he’s said here isn’t grounds for optimism. He will still either endorse, encourage, or say nothing against all manner of cruelties toward LGBTs, and anyone else on the long list of people he hates.

This item is worth mentioning only because, in one throwaway lying line, Trump offered trans people more hope and support than the entire Democratic Party since the election.

MEDIA MALFEASANCE

Reuters declares war on porn

Listening to an “experienced child exploitation investigator,” Reuters did a deep-dig at OnlyFans and found 26 accounts featuring models who “appeared” to be underage.

26 ain’t many, “appeared underage” is an awfully low bar, OnlyFans requires models’ proof of age, which all the pages in question had on file, and the site took the pages down immediately anyway. I’m not seeing how OnlyFans could be more rigorous about this, except by getting out of the porn business.

This ‘news’ is only anti-porn hysteria, a gift to Republicans and righteous hypocrites.

CFPB sues Walmart and Branch Messenger for illegally opening deposit accounts for more than one million delivery drivers

Employees must have a bank account, which charges fees. If you don’t have an account, one will be opened in your name, and you’ll pay the fees.

It’s a scam, and fighting shit like this is what government should be doing, which is why CFPB will be one of Trump’s first targets.

Once Seattle’s grocery darling, QFC in limbo after Kroger-Albertsons merger fails

QFC used to be the best grocery store around here. In “the old days,” before they were bought out, I’d shop at QFC for fresh produce and other mildly fancy items. The prices kept me from becoming a regular customer, but I always admired QFC’s selection and quality, and the friendly, helpful attitude of the staff.

Stopped at a QFC a month ago, and it was nothing but a grocery store — kinda grimy, kinda soviet, indistinguishable from any other chain on selection, staff, and cleanliness. QFC is already gone.

ONE AFTERNOON a Frisco lawyer was riding home from work in his limo when he saw two men eating grass in Golden Gate Park. Disturbed, the lawyer ordered his driver to stop. The lawyer asked the men, “Why are you eating grass?” “We don’t have any money for food,” one replied. “We have to eat grass.” “You come with me to my house and I’ll feed you,” the lawyer said. “But sir, I have a wife and two children with me. They’re over there, under that tree.” “Bring them along,” the lawyer replied with a magnanimous wave. Turning to the second grass eating man the lawyer said, “You come with us too.” The second man, in a pitiful voice, said, “But sir, I also have a wife and six children with me!” “Bring them all, as well,” the lawyer answered. “No problem.” They all climbed into the limo, one on top of the other. As the limo headed out of the park, one of the poor fellows turned to the lawyer and said, “Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you.” The lawyer replied, “Glad to do it. You’ll really love my place. It’s been a fine year. The grass is almost a foot high.”

Thanks for the article about Emmett Ashford, a genuine American hero. Anybody who hasn’t read the article yet should do so. Can one man change the world? Yeah, a little. Emmett changed the world a lot.

All the headlines come down to MONEY. In America, it is always and only MONEY that matters. Every choice the government takes is motivated by bribery and centered on profit. Every choice by every business is trying to wring the last drops out a lemon already squeezed dry. There can’t be any solution to anything until we remove money from the equation, but thatll never happen because MONEY MONEY MONEY.

      Well, obviously you hate America!

Which gets me wondering if I do. I sure hate the hypocrisy, the cruelty, the respect for authority and yeah MONEY, and all that is what America is. But I like the myth, just wish it was true.
